just because of appearance? man they're sweet. also noticed my air filter stays clean longer (than before I ever removed my inner liner)

really though, why would you want to avoid? the inner fender isn't very good safety anyways. one wrong puddle, one wrong object moving your inner fender slightly and throwing shit all up in there.

the air intake designs on these trucks is doodoo.

I don’t like the way they look, but I do like the one you got more than most. The ARB ones are too damn big.

I will probably end up getting one when I get a front bumper made and remove the inner fenders at that point. I do think the intake point is much better with a snorkel, especially for the dust.

yeah the general misconception is that they are just for water....but I saw a dude on here have to get a new motor because it shot a piece of gravel up in there that made it's way through the filter somehow.

I wouldn't go into deep water even with a snorkel.

it's not always easy to tell how deep it is, or will be.

If I don't know how deep it is, that is even more reason not to go in it.

that's a valid point, but I've been on some trails that were just comfortable dirt roads with like rolling small puddles and them BAM up to the hood in a puddle no longer than 3 feet. just a complete drop off/hole. nothing anyone would have ever gotten out and checked.
