Could you illustrate this by taking a picture of your screen of this picture? I cannot understand it otherwise.

Not sure since instructions were not provided.

Thats what the mustard is for!! Vendor should have told me that the nozzle might be clogged; therefore, making me more careful when squeezing the bottle.

He gave me the mustard packages and I poured them in an aftermarket container/bottle.

Still, I was given no instructions. I just want to warn others for the potential dangers of buying hot dogs from this vendor.

There are four lubricants that should be in everyone's tool kit....

    1) Wheel Bearing lubricant (HP/HT)
    2) White Lithium grease
    3) Anti-Seize lubricant (usually silver, but copper for HT)
    4) Graphite lubricant

Some say Petroleum Jelly should be on that list, but I have only found home uses for that.

    As a side note:
If only he had lubed his knob...

I can't think back to a time that I have sent something out for paint/plating/coating/etc that I didn't chase the threads after or protect them in the first place.
I also can't recall any of my shops throwing "extra stuff" away as unnecessary. All would have attached or packaged up with my item.

lol.... I'd feel differently if it weren't for the fact that he'd clearly done similar work, as he had "a guy" and he knew the process that would be performed. Further, he was discussing material densities/weights, implying again a rudimentary understanding of the "hybrid" composition he now asserts he knew nothing about. I follow the old adage - One can only claim ignorance by subsequently proving it.

This is what really threw me about the whole thing. He seemed intelligent and rather adept at understanding the technical side of things.

He then tried to "school" me based on info from his tech, which ultimately lead to shooting himself in the foot.

Here are more PM's that weren't posted.

Shit. I'm hosed. Missing Number 2.

Well, I don't miss Number 2s, but Lithium Grease. I don't have any.

    Shit.

I see the OP pulled his postings. Sorry you screwed up the knob but as others have said, it's not the fault of @7r41lbr34k3r that you had it modified. This is called a "Life Lesson" learn from it.

Interesting read. Spiffy way to accomplish the final alignment/torque issue. I was wondering how you had done that, since there was no set screw. I know a member who has one, but I'm an AT (wife can't drive MT). In my own defense, I am teaching my daughter to drive MT with her primary vehicle.

It's used all over the place... lock assemblies, window guides, hinges.... anyplace you want a clingy lubricant that resists water, etc.

    What a coward.

The price of my product isn't exactly cheap, but his dignity should come at a higher value (regarding the PayPal claim that is still active).

I hear you, but I haven't had to mess with any of those since I had (faulty) crank windows on my 86 Celebrity. I did end up loosing some that was on the Taco clutch assist spring due to trying out the spring removal mod. I reinstalled it after just a couple drives. It didn't help with anything.

I guess I could substitute some blue or red thread lock for the lithium grease? All interchangeable, right? Red, white, and blue all the way!

I needed some sarc font for the last bits in the original post and this reply.

JB Weld.... and only if it can't be fixed with duct tape or bailing wire.

    Red Green FTW!
