    If you're considering a 17, you may also want to consider a 34. I like the weight-balance of mine, and obviously the longer slide makes a world of difference.

    #wifey is torn between lifting and lowering her Forester. She's already got some aero on it, and I've got the Tacoma, so I'd rather see it lowered. She's tuned on the stock turbo right now, and cornering is nice in it; I just can't see lifting it when it already handles nice, and would be much more fun lower to the ground on some stiffer suspension.

    Nice. Fucking nice.

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're going to avoid the masses on Memorial Day weekend, and go out the weekends surrounding it. Plus, the following weekend will be a birthday trip for me! :)

    Yeah, #wifey is pretty cheap/frugal/thoughtful so she will talk about wanting to do all sorts of things to her car, but in the 5 years she's had it, I've been the one to pull the trigger on all the mods. She's running a Stage 1 tune right now, and I want to push it to Stage 2, but she's fighting me on the DP purchase. She's got a heavy foot, and averages about 19mpg on her 70 mile roundtrip commute. #fourcylinderlife

    I have a VW GTI four banger with turbo. There are all kinds of mods for it. Could bump HP up over 300. Just bring bags of cash. Haven't done a single mod. All goes to Tacoma. Want to, but it zips along nicely, now.

    Yeah, my WRX was just at 300 AWHP. Had a larger turbo, pushing about 20psi, catless downpipe, bigger injectors, custom (opensource) tune, etc... It can stay somewhat inexpensive, if you're careful about what you do. That's actually the car I traded in for my previous Tacoma. The dealer never even put the key in the ignition, let-alone started it. :D #spunrodbearingaf

    It's a fun trail, would definitely go again. I'm thinkin about running a day trip out to that trail, then corral hollow, and wrapping it up at either Giant Burger in Arnold or Pourhous in Murphy's . Maybe sometime mid June .

    My buddy gets around in his outback pretty well for a city slicker. I’m trying to convince him to lift it, since he’s set on driving himself on these remote camping trips. All I can find for his car are spacer lifts, not that I’ve looked very hard lol

    Camping is free, just a looong drive for those of us not in Sacramento area lol

    Edit: Anyone is welcome to join, leaving stupid early Friday morning, coming home Sunday (or I may stay behind and come home Monday, depends on how much stress I can accumulate from work between now and then)

    @FirstTimeFirstGen saw me jam up my guide rod on my 19 at Leonard’s mod day. It was embarrassing, seriously the first time I’ve ever done that. Nothing that cycling the weapon didn’t fix, but still :anonymous:

    Best bet will forsure be to shoot the XD, glock & Shield all in one sitting, probably full size/compacts all around and see which one you like the most. That’s the only way you’ll really know what you like vs what you don’t like. But after a few thousand rounds, what you like may change. No wrong answers imo, variety in the safe is good for the soul (bad for the wallet)

    I’d stick with 9mm since it’s the most common/cheap ammo
