IMHO, I like how the outside of the knob turned out, but I am confused why you would have coated the hidden core?

Everyone always talks about the reverse gear being too tall with the manual, so I threw the numbers in a spreadsheet today and found something pretty interesting. All of the differential and transmission combos for the New TRDs and Hilux net out to virtually the same final drive ratio in Reverse. I wonder why?

Will do! I'd been about 20yrs since I was in Nevada. I need to fix that problem.

 

Do any of you guys have an issue with the truck bucking at low rpms when its cold?

 

We're almost at 8000.

 

When accelerating fast or slow? Coasting? When engaging clutch?

 

Accelerating normally when engaged in a gear.

 

I do when rev matching on downshifts. Say, 3rd to 2nd at 30mph? It feels like either the high idle or the cold fueling makes the throttle a bit more sensitive. This happens mostly when leaving work coming toward a certain stoplight. Just something that I learned to remember.

 

Seems almost impossible to rev match when downshifting this truck. It has such a horrible rev hang when clutch is pressed and then the throttle response is absolute shit.

 

I feel bucking when at low RPMs in first gear when on and off gas and When accelerating very fast. I don't think this abnormal. It's probably the engine switching between Atkinson and Otto cycle.
