Anybody ever rebuild two-stroke carbs? I'll be at Smith Mountain Lake for a week next month and I want to get my skis readied up for the trip.

It's pretty simple if you buy the right rebuild kit - even I was able to do it! I rebuilt a 2 barrel carb on my old Bronco. I don't know how different jet ski carbs are though.

I may have to give it a shot. If I do it now I'll have enough time to get it fixed if I screw it up haha

I say go for it. As I mentioned, I am not very mechanically inclined, so being able to do it was kind of rewarding to me, even if it was a simple job.

I managed to do it on an old weber 32/36 I slapped on my E21 but that was a POS car and if it didn't run it didn't cripple me. Screw it I'll order some kits!

Have some faith in yourself. The ill educated, cerebrally challenge (such as myself) have been taking carbs apart in the back woods with pocket knives to fix a stuck plunger and what not for millions of years. And that was before YouTube.

Any of you fellers looking to get rid of an RTT in the near future?

Everything seems to be for sale across the country.

It appears out of stock, but I had this one for a little bit. Ended up selling it, but only because the RTT life isn’t for me. It was a nice tent though, and I love that the annex is included. Another perk is you can enter the tent from the annex, which is handy if it’s raining. Shipping was also free.

that's not a bad price. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a high quality tent as I will probably only use it for a few trips a year. It would be nice to have so I can "bugout" whenever I want and get away from people for a weekend.

That’s why I picked that tent originally. It’s a great “budget” tent. Another option is become a member of REI and wait for their 20% off anything coupon. They sell RTT so you can get it for about $750. Plus they’ll ship it to their store for free.

I have heard of people turning cans of compressed air upside down and doing that too. Causes a nasty blistering.
