I bet you could get a damaged bumper from a body shop to cut up, then sell yours.

    Are floor mats a mod?
Oh no, a lot of them are almost through the clear coat. Did a section with cutting compound but wasn’t aggressive enough. There are still some ghosts but it’s way better than it was!

    got some
Ask yourself which purchase will make you happier and pull the trigger. I have a 2nd gen and I did not have to cut, also no damage on the bumper but I wanted the bumper more than 35s. I will eventually get me 35s after I re-gear my truck. I am still rolling my 33s and sweet Demello Baja bumper that I got on sale.

If your going to do any type of wheeling once on 35's, re-gear first. My stock gears on 35's lasted about 4-5 months before exploding.

If you guys haven't been down to Tillamook State Forest before I highly recommend you plan a trip. Just got back from 5 days down there with some buddies who invited me along with their Jeep club. It is an awesome trail system, we probably did 25+ miles of trails in a couple days ranging from easy to some pretty tough, muddy, rocky climbs. I bypassed a couple short spots that the Jeeps on 37's went up but looking back I probably could've made it as those sections were easier than the last climb we did that I had to winch up the last 1/4 of to get over some muddy rocks. We also went down to Sand Lake South of Tillamook for a day and played around in the dunes which was a blast.

I definitely figured out where I need to do some trimming on my fenders and looks like I may need to redo my cab mount chop to make a little more room because it's polished bright on the outer bit now.

This was the first rocky portion of the Firebreak 5 Trail, I skipped the second half but probably could have easily made it the first day in the dry. Second day even the Jeeps on 37's were struggling with the mud after it had rained a little in the morning.

It's nuts how much logging they do in the forest there, this is one spot where the trail just popped out into a landing with a big pile of logs still waiting to be picked up just off camera and then we had to look all over to find the spot to get back on, turned out to be about a 3ft drop almost straight down into the woods that we couldn't see until we got out and walked around, super fun after doing it but it had some pucker factor going over the edge.

Didn't get to see anybody willing to try this trail while we were there

I got a lot of shit from the Jeep guys on this one, the mud was super slick and caked into my AT tires though and I couldn't go anywhere.

Made it home in one piece, a few nice trail marks on the skids and rims but nothing that can't be expected.

The day before May Day I saw a couple of Seattle Police Officers push a drunk dude that was peeing on the wall of Walgreens into his piss. Almost every day when I walk to lunch I see someone unconscious on the sidewalk, countless fights, openly shooting up, etc.

Not a bad idea, considering I'll only need the upper half of that and could just repaint those 2 sections even if they didn't fit...

Damn... Planned on heading there with some friends on Friday.

Our second option is Stampede Pass from 90 to 410. Assume parts of it will have considerable snow still, but anyone know if we'll have trouble getting through any sections?

    Route we're planning to take is FS54 -> FS52 -> FS70

I was at Alpental 2 weekends ago. Still plenty of snow there, but the base at summit central was pretty bare, which is why I was hopeful that Stampede Pass might be worth an attempt.

EDIT: Anyone been up Beckler rd lately?

My guess is you'll find 10 foot drifts up there

You can probably make it down a ways but I doubt you’ll be able to get up very high on the FS roads that spur off them. Unfortunately there is still a lot of snow in the mountains and all 3 of those options you listed are likely a no-go

Appreciate the info guys! I have 2 days to do some research and find a doable option before my friend gets into town on Friday. Any tips? :)
