Tires for 2016 trd quad cab

Stock wheels. 265/70/16. I drive 90%on highway with occasional trip in the woods. I've researched alot but still undecided. I want a tire that won't drop gas mileage much and look more aggressive than and road tire. Also the truck is black so I'd like to keep white letters off the tire. Do they not make the Terra grapplers g2 in my tire size? I was looking at g1 Terra grapplers. Also bfg ko2 would they hit the mileage much since they are so heavy? Do they have a solid black wall version? Was also looking at falken widpeak and hankook dynapro atm and general grabber at. I don't think I need the ridge grapplers and I don't think they even come in the size I need. I don't need the Cooper st max either I don't believe. But that's why I'm asking the experts.

 

Cooper AT3 will fit your needs well. They have a black sidewall option.

 

I'd also look at Firestone Destination AT2s

They have a "special" edition with a camo print sidewall. They're really light at like 40 lbs per tire when they're the P-rated (passenger) version. It's really similar to a Load-Range C in load carrying capability. The P-rated sidewall is no big deal for our trucks considering it would take axle-bending weight to overload the weight limit of one of these tires.

2,600 lbs load capacity for the non HD version. The Load-Range E is like 3,400 lbs per tire if you really wanted to get dumb... but I'd stick with something light duty since these are such light duty trucks.

Even though you're stock, you could go to a 265/75/r16 without an issue. That opens up your range of options a bit.

A surprisingly lightweight option is the load-range C Goodyear Duratrac. Coming in at only 45lbs per tire it's not bad at all. Tire balance and overall noise might be high though. These also suck for winter weather once the siping wears away (about half the depth of the tread lug)

Do they make the g2s in the 265/70/16? I do like the looks of the Firestone black walls!

 

I just picked up a set of 265-70-16 Terra Grapplers (standard load rating) @ Sam's Club. Marked down to $100.81/tire. Had planned on going up to 265-75, but couldn't pass up the price. By the time I paid for mounting, lifetime rotate/balance, OTD it was right at $129/tire, tax and all.

To answer your previous question, the G2s only come in 17s and up.....

 

How do u like them? I got quoted 600 out the door for a set and free rotations so that's what I'll probably wind up with

 

I've run them on a couple previous trucks (f150, FJ Cruiser). Always had good luck with them, 50,000+ mileage out of them, no noticeable drop in mpgs, good smooth ride, even with the LTs.
