What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I get paid every other week and been seeing 160 hours for over a month now. And H.R keeps telling me that they really cant have me working this much for some reason or other. Normally don't listen to her. I just keep telling her you keep paying and I'll keep working.

 

I just had to break into my truck cause the keys got locked inside it. Suprising easy.

 

Haha, yep! I wouldn’t hear it from the boss, hourly employees with the “where ya headed part-timer” bit. Never mind that by Wednesday I’d worked more hours than they would that week. I work remote now but they watch that little status light on Skype Messenger.

 

That is what gets everybody haha. Gotta make sure that stays green

 

I’m convinced a co-worker just gives his desk a good kick every 15 minutes or so to activate the mouse. The (green) lights on but nobody’s home...

Yes, when we’re at sea we have wireless internet and we have places to plug in a laptop in the rooms but the more people that are online the slower it gets. I guess it goes in $16k increments, we have package A) a set amount of bandwidth and tv channels. The next package is pretty fast from what I’ve heard. On our package you can’t send/receive pics. You can use your iPhone via iMessage/wireless but sometimes it doesn’t work and often drop’s offline.

Yep, I’be been 4 weeks on/ 2 off for close to 6 years. I’m thinking about taking a land job just to take a break but with the price of oil rising that money’s coming back!

That's good. I remember taking a cruise a few years ago - the satellite internet was something like $1.00 per Minute.

 

Wow ! I wouldn’t be using that other than to quickly check my emails and possibly pay bills.... I need to go on a cruise someday

The stock size is the 90915-YZZD1 though I think some folks run the D3 and claim it's better due to more surface area. I've always used the D1 though, and it seems to work great with regular oil changes. Plus, you get twice as many (10 vs. 5) for not much more $.

 

Looks like I'm changing mine out. These are way better looking then mine.

 

What did I do to my tacoma today? I tried finding that insufferable squeak coming from I think my body mounts but I cant confirm it for 4 hours to no avail. I love my tacoma but good lord I feel like im driving some POS truck i got for 500 dollars.

 

Did you try spraying the mounts with a little WD40? Rear springs can squeak also.

 

Yes now it just smells like alot of WD-40
