I am wanting to go camping in the near future with the weather warming up. I'm trying to find some good bed tents on Amazon but I'm not sure my truck is capable of housing a bed tent due to the tonneau I currently have.

Does anyone here who has an Undercover Flex Tonneau or Bakflip Tonneau found a bed tent that won't interfere with the Tonneau while it's folded up all the way?

I want to accomplish putting up a bed tent without having to remove the Tonneau so that I could just have it fold up all the way.

After further research, I'm thinking it's not possible unless it's removed.

    Can anyone confirm?

Oh wow, that looks like a great fit. Can you provide a link of the exact model? I'd like to look into this. I think it still may be an issue with mine because your tonneau folds flat whereas the Undercover or Bakflip folds upright.

How is the setup and takedown?

That's actually a good a idea... I just have to make sure not to hit my head if I'm sleeping all the way in the back of the bed :D

Which tent do you use for your truck? The same one the other user posted; Kodiak?

    That's unfortunate :(

The product description on Amazon states "Fits Mid Size Trucks with 5ft-6ft beds. Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon and Ford Ranger. Keeps you off the ground, high and dry, and away from critters. Pitch a tent anywhere your truck can go." so they claim it should fit short bed and long bed versions but if you personally can confirm it won't fit, I'll need another recommendation :( but at least it should be possible with the cover folded all the way, and left flat instead of standing up.

Maybe you can do some more work research, it fits my 6’ fine but I think it would be too big for a 5’ bed.

I have the right line tent also, really nice. But I have a long box and no cover.... But I'm pretty sure you could leave the last bit down and just use it as a shelf to put stuff on. Sleep with your head on the tailgate side.

Post your location and maybe someone near you has a tent they can let you test fit.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the right line tent... 4 year old child for scale.

FHC, how did the Kodiak rails mesh with your foldacover rails? Looking at mine, it doesn't look like there is much space for both...

OMG I was actually looking this up on my own last night. As far as i have read E-trailer is saying the Rightline tent will work with roll up tanneou covers.

    https://www.etrailer.com/question-102027.html

I have no Idea WTF they mean when the Rep says " if your tonneau cover makes the bed rails any wider than they currently are then the tent won't work."

How Tight does this tent pack up? Can it fit behind the rear seats?

    Thanks!

This tent fits in a small carry bag, but requires a separate bag for the poles and rails. It would not fit behind the rear seat, at least in my DCLB SR5. PM me for more information, I can probably help you out with the Kodiak tent.
