Anybody have any ideas about who can get a bed rack shipped to me by next friday or so. I ordered an all-pro rack over 4 weeks ago. Today I called to see if they had any plans of shipping said rack, they basically told me they would try to get around to it in the next week or two-ish, maybe. I need it for my brand new CVT, for Memorial day weekend. :(

If they can get it here, I still have to weld it all up, and paint it, and mount my tent. Oh yeah, 4H starts next week too. I think it's a lost cause. I had about $550 wrapped up in that one, and need to stay about the same cost.

Now that all-pro has taken so long, I'm having trouble finding anyone that can get one here by that date.

    Help me please.

All-pro has been notorious for leaving people in the dust and dark with shipping things. Give RCI or CBI a call (or some of the other great vendors on here that make them).

With 800lb load capacity? People put RTT's on stock roof racks that have 2-300lb cap. (though I wouldn't do that personally).

Would NOT recommend CBI. Similar situation:

You are right, it would hold the weight, and it is best to put a center support (total of at least 3) for a solid base. I’d do that too.

I think any fab shop that has a backlog is going to be unable to accurately estimate. Shit happens, especially when expectations and uncertainty are involved.

But sometimes shops have stuff in stock, so worth calling around to ask. CBI rack is still great quality, and I know when I bought mine from RCI (long ago) they were able to ship immediately from stock.

What kind of rack are you looking for? We have an option. It works with tonneau covers. I think we have some in stock.

@Mobtown Offroad whats the stock look like on our racks?

It's nice to have that center support, but not necessary. Earlier racks just had two cross bars which people ran without issues. Companies still make them with just two.

But I would probably get 3-4, and would also get a one-piece unit for more rigidity. That's a lot of weight being carried high and being jostled around off-road. Then again, I am not a fan of heavy, bloated RTT's and prefer a ground tent.

Thanks Relentless and Mobtown, but by the time I pay for shipping, I'm probably looking at close to a grand. I can't do it. I guess I'll build my own.

And I understand time. I work for a company that does Jaguar restorations. I get it.

What I don't get, is posting "4 week lead time" on your company website, and not being able to stick to that. Holy hell, put 6-8 weeks, then if you get it out in 4, you are a hero, instead of an asshole. Which is what all-pro is being right now.
