@DannyBFresco start with a 9-6 longboard. Something big and floaty to learn on. Great for small waves that you will be wanting in the beginning. My first board was an 11-0. It was big but I could catch every wave I wanted. There are always used soft top boards for sale on Craigslist for cheap. Also for a wetsuit check out the rip curl outlet store on mission st in Santa Cruz. They sell last years models that are new for cheap.

Spotted a couple today, didn’t really get good photos of any of them since this iPad is kinda a PITA to take quick photos with.

True story. I’ve been considering applying for a local LEO job(entry level academy trainee*), which I would absolutely shave for. Convinced my recentish smoking would insta-DQ me tho.

It’s been years, I’m not even sure I still have a chin.

You’d be surprised, especially now with the recent changes in the state. You can ask for a copy of the departments drug use policy.

Really depends, based on who I’ve talked too (current LEOs)
For my particular case i think it will, been too recent and too often.

Some places will only ask about use in the past few years, some the last 10 years, others will ask about your whole life.

My LEO friends have advised my to contact the agencies I’m considering (which is basically ANY with an academy sponsorship lol) and ask them directly what their policies are. (Just like @Porter707 said)
