It's just to allow me to cook on the tailgate and keep me from getting too much sun or rained on depending on the weather. I have a little grill so I cook on the tailgate every so often and since I live in an apartment and have no balcony the only place I can grill is in the parking lot. And I'm going to try out some overlanding and see how that goes.

Is there a way to get the tarp up a bit off the truck? Some kind of shock cord over the cab? Do you have ditch lights?

I'm fine with the setup now since all I need to do is stand at the tailgate. It's attached to the buckles of the tonneau cover at the front of the bed. I may get a Prinsu rack so if that happens I'll just hook up to that.

Just thinking about head room and the heat from the grill melting the tarp.

It shouldn't be a problem. I forget what height poles I get but I thinkif I have enough room to stand without my head touching the tarp then the grill shouldn't be too close. Thanks for the concern though.

I do this same thing, but I've got a rack on the back that I use for a little more clearance between the tarp and my face.
I also camp with a roll of paracord, so I can hook the tarp to convenient trees instead, since that usually gets even more clearance.

Good idea. I'll have to pick up some more paracord.

Yep. 50 feet of paracord gives you a lot of flexibility for what you hook the tarp to.

That is a stellar price. I got $400 for my OEM tires alone and another $350 for the 2G TRD wheels. The 3G wheels are much more desirable than the 2G.

I got $850 for my wheels/tires combined with like 500 miles on them. I thought that was pretty good, but I'm also in a less populated space with less competition. Took about a month to sell to someone who didn't want to offer me $500 and make me drive to boston and deliver them.
