I worked at a dealership for over 5 years combined. I can assure you if I didn't know how to drive manual I wouldn't had lasted that long.

That has nothing to do with the clutch.
Good luck. How much are they going to charge you?

Just the clutch and if I decide not to go with them, I still have to pay them for taking the transmission down and putting it back together as the work is not covered for warranty.

Just buy the URD clutch replacement and tell us how it is. I want to get that after my clutch is dead.

Do you recommend me getting the vehicle fixed or just wait for their resolution department to get back to me?

Wow that's crazy! Then they want to charge more for looking at it also! I would definitely contact corporate and find out what they say

That’s... way more money than an oem clutch.

I will ask them to look for that, last thing I want is them blaming the aftermarket clutch for any other problems that arise after this.

I wouldn't recommend using an OEM Toyota clutch because there seems to be Defective clutch plates in the 2016 model Tacoma

167,000 miles on my Honda's original clutch with no signs of failure.. I got 130,000 out of the original clutch on a 94 Toyota P.U. 22-R.

Indeed. I put a lightened flywheel and a Centerforce clutch in my 97 Civic at 135k, the original clutch still had plenty of life left.
