This thread is almost 8 years old but still relevant. I recently lifted my 2013 Single cab and started experiencing the same issue. Noise when lifting foot off the gas. Took some video in hopes that others may find them usefull. It seems that as the drive shaft moves back and forth......the axle will rotate up/down to compensate and noise is generated. Taking it back to the shop next week but would welcome any comments or advice concerning what you see in my vids:

OK - so the short story for my 2008 4x4 regular cab - Dealer performed the rear diff TSB at 3000 miles. It did not fix the problem. During deceleration at freeway speeds (just lift off the gas) it would still make lots of noise. Can't remember the forum - but it said the remove the driveshaft and turn it around 180 degrees- in other words - what was attatched to the diff is now attached to the transfer case. Noise went away immediately and now at 80,000 miles and still no noise.
