    Lease a Kia or Hyundai for the minimum time, if it works out between you two, then you'll likely be at a point where you're comfortable enough to say, hey, you mind using the steps to get out babe? There is no right way, good way or subtle way to express OCD...I know, I'm the same way, but luckily I bit my tongue, married her and now tell her how to do things as to not mess stuff up. For example, when I bought my Taco earlier this year, I outright said "you're never driving it based on all the crap that's happened to your past vehicles, this one is NOT a lease, and it's too big for you". She said "I don't care to drive it"...then I told here she must have her next vehicle lined up before her lease is over because she has a knack to take her time, then take my daily commuter, and I end up driving my '05 G35 6MT, in Los Angeles...I know I know how do I do it...I don't know...now that I'm older, the G35 is NOT fun to drive in LA. Especially after driving a truck, it feels unsafely low.

    Shes managed to bump, bang, curb rash or combination thereof of any vehicle shes owned, I am not shy about protecting my investment. That's why my G35 still looks like it did when it was on the factory floor, I care and I'm attentive just like you.

    Make her drive to your place, then tell her I'm out of gas, let's take your car, then if she says she doesn't have gas either, fill her up! (I mean the car, she's optional).

    Put temporary seat cover on both you and her seats until you're comfortable enough to say stop doing that. However, sliding in and out (I'm guilty of forgetting to not do that on my own side) will crack leather regardless of cover or not and weaken the bolster. Good thing they're not bucket seats!
