Just flashed 87. Idling now. I think I’ve got 300 miles of driving to do tomorrow

Then 1500 starting over the weekend

 

Flashed 1.04A 87. Idled. Took for quick test drive. Turned into 30 miles. Oops.

I’m pretty sure if people aren’t happy with 1.04, they won’t ever be happy. Every revision continues to improve upon the previous

It feels like the shackles have finally come off and let it out of the cage.

I’ll report back tomorrow, but seriously you need to flash this. If you haven’t ordered yet, order now while you still can or you are going to be sad.

Side note @OVTune looks like the 91 file you posted tonight is different from the test file? The big string of numbers at the end is different anyway. Just wanted to double check cuz if there is a difference, I’m sure the testers will want to update.

Flashed the 04B11 1.04 87 tune this AM. 20 minute idle. The 2-3k rpm hesitation is GONE! I haven’t had enough time on it to provide a full review but the hesitation being eliminated is a big deal! I drove it like I stole it and it had some serious pull.

I’ll be curious to see what happens after I cold start and drive away. I really don’t want to do even a few minute warm up cycle in the morning.

Hoping to stick with the 87 tune. So far very happy with it so I’m not even going to flash 91.

 

I suggest you don't flash the 91 file lol, judging by your serious pull comment while on the 87 tune

Although TBH, I've not tried the 87 file yet.

 

I would like to run the 91 all the time bit fuel prices are skyrocketing to $1.50/litre. That's around $3.50/gallon I believe.

 

I definitely hear that. TBH I don't put near the mileage on my truck that most ppl on here do, so the fuel price jumps don't hurt as much.

Ok, so I've only put about 60 miles on 1.04A so far, but I wanted to give a brief first impression:

Running both of them back to back yesterday, I feel like the 87 tune pulls just as hard as the 91 tune. I personally don’t feel as if I’m missing anything running 87 over 91. It may just be my driving style but I did run it fairly hard the last couple days for testing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have noticed some differences from the 91 file I was running but I’m not sure if that’s because I’m on 87 now or because there were some updates since the test file. If you compare the links, they are different which would make me think the files are different.

Either way - the 87 tune is solid. Back to driving.

Yeah I know Mat was asked if the 91 files he just posted are any different from the "test files". I'd like to know only because there's no sense in flashing an identical 91 file again lol. It takes quite a while for everything to settle in as you guys know, I simply don't want to start over.

I will try the 87 tune at some point, that's for sure.

Had to drive my co-worker around the city and then on the highway yesterday, he commented that the truck seemed very smooth compared to the last time I drove him.
That's the difference between 1.03C with stutters (my truck had a bad case) and 1.04.
