Just picked up a 07 4x4. It came with HanKook Dynapro ATM 285/75/r16 on the stock rims. The side walls say 80psi, that sent up the red flag for me. Should I really be running on 80 psi? Any recommendations as to what psi I should be running? Also, the lugs are in bad shape, I want to replace them. Its hard enough to find OEM lugs for it, any recommendation for some aftermarket lugs (with washer style) that are as close to quality and safety as OEM lugs?

Oorah Marine, first problem you are absolutely correct 80 psi is way too high to be running in a tire, 80 psi is most likely the max tire pressure and that was probably a hot tire under load. More than likely if your tires say you can run up to 80 psi that is an E load tire.

With our light trucks we really don't need an E load tire and you can get away with running 30 PSI because the side walls are so stiff being that they are constructed to cary heavy loads. It will easily support the weight of your truck. I have E load tires and run 35 PSI but I like a stiffer ride.

For your second question there really isn't going to be a substitute for OEM washer style nuts in terms of quality, that said if you want to pay the shipping charges I can send you a set. I believe I still have my old ones from before I put my SCS wheels on.

The rest of the words on the sidewall say Max Pressure at a specific load

Depends on the tire and load(armor and such), both my BFG KM2 and Falken Wildpeaks are E-rated and ride smooth at 40psi. The km2 sidewalks are tough but flexible as hell.
