I try not to road rage but sometimes people seriously make my blood boil. I've seen multiple little bumper scrape type accidents where they stop in the middle Lane and get out even though both vehicles are still drivable.

One that put me over the edge was on Arapahoe. Little bumper scrape. They stop side by side blocking 2 of the 3 lanes right on the other side of an intersection. Was a total clusterfuck.

I have one in every vehicle.

That one occasion I was tempted to grab a strap and start dragging them into the gas station parking lot they parked in front of

    I have this one: https://amzn.to/2rzdUgt

Its the second one I had... first perished with the taco. Great video quality, wide angle, low light video is pretty dang good. Has all your typical settings and options. First one came with a GPS that you could decide if you wanted to plug it in or not for speed but this one didnt. Not sure if it was open box but I didn't care enough to worry about it. Only thing I dont like is the ring around it being silver. I tend to go for the less flashy stuff, but thats my only complaint and its easily fixed with black paint if needed.

With the mirror mount I was able to tuck it behind the mirror so you dont see it in the cab.

    I have this one

    https://www.amazon.com/Black-Box-G1W-C-Capacitor-Model/dp/B00MIO2KRC/

    and this one

    https://www.amazon.com/VIOFO-Included-Optional-included-Certified/dp/B01M28B92C/

The latter is MUCH better. The first has much lower audio and video quality and the damn suction cup refuses to stay attached for any reasonable period of time. The date resets every time it powers off, which there is a firmware update for, but I can't get it to update.

I have 0 issues with the latter.

Wife tells me that a neighbor stopped by and asked if the 1st gen was for sale.

2002 Xtra Cab 4x4 Auto w/ 150k miles. SR5 TRD with the rear locker.
    MT Classic II wheels 16"
BFG AT KO2 tires 275/65r16 with about 3k miles on them
    Line X Bed Liner
    BakFlip G2 Bed Cover
Pop a Lock tail-gate lock (oh joy, right?)
Skid Row Full 3 piece skid plates
Soon: Bilstein 5100 w/ OME 880 coils & OEM replacement leaf springs

If you were to sell it... what would YOU ask for? Think: It's your DD, but your baby cannot fit in the Xtra cab for those camping/fishing/hunting trips. While you don't WANT to sell it... let's be realistic about this.

    Thoughts?

Mine was a '98 SR5 4X4 with a Raven topper, Alpine stereo (amp and sub), I think I had BFG ATs on there as well - I sold mine in Loveland for $6250 last year.

Ah! Here's my old FS thread, maybe you can use that as a starting point?

Any issues with it overheating? I hear that's the biggest problem with some of them.

@Ice Horse - I meant to check in with you and your dash cam. Any issues with it overheating?

    Thanks

I have a constant struggle with this.

Most of me will never want to sell my 1st gen.

But going on road/camping/wheeling trips with my GF and 11 year old daughter is incredibly tight in the cab. Namely my daughter is the one suffering the most in the back of the xtra cab.

So I always think about getting a DCSB 2nd gen because the size is really nice. But then most of me can't let go :(
