Neat idea. I have 2 6" long, 2" diameter pvc tubes filled with 0.50 cal ammo for my "tent stakes". I definitely prefer that to staking small metal hooks into the ground.

Love it! Do you mind sharing where this is. I am road tripping from Colorado to Bandon, Oregon in June and would love to find a beach to camp on for maybe a night or 2.

First time I've seen one of those with dormers on both sides.

WOW! What's it going to be when it grows up? J/K Nice! Looks like it will go wherever your truck can go. How much cargo capacity?

You're right up the street from me (Pflugerville), and I have an a-frame, too.

I'll be going up to Kansas on the 23rd with the camper for a fly-in event. I'll post some pics then!

Nice setup. I like my biolite. Is the grill attachment worth getting?

Lol thanks. It’s a 2 person teardrop I built myself. There’s a small gallery under the rear hatch. We don’t haul much inside except a few totes with clothes and stuff. Most of the gear goes in the Taco.

    topper...
Sure! I found it by looking at satellite images and specifically for tracks on the beach. Off 101 there's a dirt road that goes for a few miles then it just opens up to the beach, you can drive up and down the coast for quite a bit in either direction. End of the road is at (43.7484, -124.1794). Read up on OR beaches, you're allowed to camp anywhere not in a state park or inside a big city's limits, but you have to move every 12h or something - I saw just one other truck when I was camped here for >12h though, so I doubt you'd be hassled.

Also most state parks will let you use facilities (hot showers!) for $2, so carry some small bills if you're going to be in the area more than a night or two.
