Mammoth lakes California. Headed there June 13-17th. Tons of places to hike, fish, and camp. Likely see snow on the ground in some shady spots.

About a dozen lakes and streams fish within 5 miles of one another. Great little skii lodge town as well.

You could also make a day trip from their to Yosemite or Lake Tahoe.

Look into the Gand Mesa NF, in Colorado. I went through there on the bike, damn that place was beautiful. Lakes all over the Mesa. Just under your 700 mile range, but you wont regret it.

Co up by silverton/ telluride area is beautiful. You could run some of the alpine loop passes. Amazing camping and plenty of spots to fish. Our rubicon trip got cancelled this year so since we have the time off already I'm probably heading back that way mid July

shenanigans are going on in the TWAZ Facebook page. Apparently someone didn't like a review of their company and threatened to sue. This one could be fun. It's one of the few reason to have an FB account, to watch things like this, and get food ideas.

My neighbor owns a commercial landscaping company so we are always getting tons of free firewood as long as we are willing to split it ourselves.

This was my section. Each neighbor had about this much wood to split. Good thing he had a 37ton log splitter :D
