    Just a reminder this weekend that the 1st annual LOCO TRASH BASH on the River Clean Up:

    Trash_Bash_Flyer_11apr18+(2).jpg

    Here is more info below on how they are handling the clean up if you want to come out and help. My wife and I will be in our boat helping haul trash from kayak's and Canoe's.

    • We are trying to divide the river up into sections so there will be mainly jet boats or mainly canoes and kayaks along certain stretches of the river. But, there still may be a random jet boat or canoe/kayak in your section so please be courteous!

    • If you will be in a canoe or kayak, the best stretches (with the least amount of jet boats traffic) will be from Texas River School to FM 973, or FM 973 to Austin's Colony, or Little Webberville Park to Big Webberville Park.
      • Put trash in trash bags and leave along banks if you have too much to carry.Jet boats will pick up those bags and ferry to dumpsters later in the day.
      • If you float Little Webberville to Big Webberville, drop your vessel off at Little Webberville then drive to Big Webberville. The section leaders, Shea McClanahan (sheam8@gmail.com) and Kevin Hutchinson (fishhead@texas.net) will shuttle you back to Little Webberville.
      • If you float from Texas River School to FM 973 or from FM 973 to Austin's Colony, you can work out shuttles the morning of the cleanup with others who will be doing the same stretch. The section leaders at FM 973, John Erskine (jerskine@gmail.com) and Tommy Jacoby (tommy.jacoby@gmail.com), said they may be able to help shuttle in that morning.

    • If you will be in a jet boat, the best section for you will be from Little Webberville Park up to Austin's Colony.

    • The Little Webberville Park to Big Webberville Park stretch will have two (2) Game Warden jet boats all day to help out!

    • Above 130 will have a couple of jet boats arrive after noon (12 PM) to pick up trash you dropped along banks.
    Let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the cleanup!

    I just picked up a Cobra 29 NW LTD Classic from Kenny yesterday. I'm not sure where to mount it cause it's pretty big, the only place I can think of is behind the center console. I still need to get the antenna, cable, and mount. I'll probably get the bed rail mount from @ragofabrication

    Amazon. Start there. Pick the size/application you want based on popularity. They're kind of all the same. Then pretty muck Firestik for everything else: 18' coax, antenna, get a spring if the antenna is gonna be over 3 feet

    Finally! We are at it again! After a brief hiatus and a few lessons learned after new management takeover, Cars & Coffee is back and bigger than EVER! The Cars and Coffee new management team has secured an amazing location for the event to be held going forward! This comeback is not without its requests though. The Cars and Coffee team specifically sought out our group due to our consistent and overwhelming presence at previous shows. We were always the first and always had bacon! Our community of Tacos and Tacos grew into a much more inclusive gathering of all Toyotas and we routinely had more than 30 participants in our group alone.

    Cars and Coffee show runners are requesting some assistance in helping with the ebb and flow of traffic and sorting out parking sections. This is a request for volunteers only and not required. What we are looking for and to provide is a group of maybe 5 (subject to change based on how it goes) rolling volunteers to help direct traffic in and out of the Lots.

    For the C&C vets in here, the incoming and exiting traffic situations have always been interesting. Being that this is now at COTA with much better ingress and egress points, this will be much better. The goal is to roll people through so that everyone has time to assist, wander, and eat bacon!

    For anyone new, this gathering is a community effort that we all pitch in to supply various items for our group to make our day more enjoyable and full of bacon. A list of common items is as follows:

    · Bacon
    · Eggs
    · Tortillas
    · Cheese
    · Salsa
    · Coffee
    · Water
    · Sugar
    · Cups
    · Plates
    · Plastic Ware
    · Tables
    · Chairs
    · Cookers
    · Trash receptacles and bags
    · Really any food, utensils, snacks, drinks or random thing you can think of
    · TTC SWAG

    **As always, it is not expected for anyone to bring anything. Anything that is brought is greatly appreciated, but you are still allowed to partake in any of the snacks/tacos even if you can’t bring anything**

    I will keep an updated list as best I can and track what is happening. Just tag me in a post or quote the main post and I’ll update as we go.

    Attending (Items Bringing):
    @Misplaced Nebraskan (Pork Belly Burnt Ends)
    @ChadsPride (TTC SWAG)
    @GoddardPool
    @CaptAmerica
    @Inferno0075
    @Rogelio22
    @KENNY2011

    C&C Volunteers (Will hopefully know more of a set schedule soon):

    Post Cars & Coffee Meetup:

    There will be something following C&C for us. There may be a quick opportunity to play in the COTA Offroad section followed by a convoy to Bastrop Trails to do some offroading. Will fill in details as they are provided.

    Oh and a mount. Don't forget that.

    If you're gonna have room beneath it to run the cable you can get this one https://smile.amazon.com/RADIO-ANTE...qid=1525973880&sr=8-7&keywords=firestik+mount

    If you use the "firering" type cable for applications with limited space you'll want this one https://smile.amazon.com/FireStik-K...qid=1525973880&sr=8-8&keywords=firestik+mount

    As of right now count me in. If I have any complications with my gas tank before then I may have to back out to do repairs on the 4R. I'll bring some cold drinks in a cooler.
