Nice, good to know haha. I’m not smart enough to read the manual. It’s crazy how much technology is actually packed into these little trucks. And then you look at the 2018s....o_O

When I was doing the one in my 3rd gen 4runner I was talking to a guy that made custom harnesses for stuff and he gave me a list of Ecus that would work. 4runner, taco and tundra of the same year. Have to check for federal or Cali emissions also cause that makes a difference. I don’t remember who I was talking to but he was very knowledgeable and did it for a living. ToyHarnesses maybe?

It needs to be the 4x4 manual tranny version
If I can just find one that works I would be thrilled.

So somebody on Instagram just saw a brand new 2018 TRD Pro with that blue color at a dealership and it had an Aftermarket Dealer Installed Option of "Lack of Availability" priced at $5,000. WTF

So MAF cleaner and fuel injector cleaner in the tank didn’t work. I really don’t want this to be injectors but that’s one of the only things left that I think it could possibly be

What code are you throwing? If the MAF is bad, cleaning it will not help. That’s really only a fix if it’s excessively dirty or on the fritz.

Built a little solid wood console for my regular cab. I attach it with two bungees under the seat. Pretty convenient to have.

Going to replace my front u-joint tomorrow. Never done one but seems fairly straightforward. Any helpful tips? I'm going to try the vice and a hammer method then try the socket and hammer method

I would swap in an OEM MAF before fooling around with the injectors. Aftermarket ones don’t jive with the ECU very well.

Already tried swapping one from a 4Runner with no change. I mean, I have the MAF output on a scanguage so I can see the airflow and if it’s erratic at all
