Did you let it obtain its home points before taking off?

Having issues with my mavic. I just flew it for the first time in a few months. I updated the app on my phone (iPhone 6s) and the firmware/software on the drone.

It disconnected video feed on me 3 times. And it’s done this plenty in the past. I was just flying around my backyard so I had LOS the whole time and was less than 600 feet away from me at any given point. I don’t know why it is constantly disconnecting. Any one else have this issue?

I'm starting to get extremely frustrated with DJI. There software is absolute garbage. No one seems to have any answers online other than "downgrade the firmware" which I can't even fucking do because it goes back again to their shitty fucking software. Downloaded their DJI Assistant 2 application on my PC and my Macbook and neither fucking work. Tells me to connect the controller to the PC, well it's sure as fuck connected as it's charging but does the application recognize that it's installed? Fuck no it doesn't. Anyone wanna buy a Mavic :frusty:

I've had this issue multiple times. The last time I went up to a trail I rode shotgun in someones truck just so I could fly and get footage. Couldn't even fucking fly because it would disconnect video feed instantly. This was back in I think February, maybe earlier. I don't know if it's a cable issue or what. People are saying theyre having issues on Android devices but I'm flying it on the iphone, with everything upgraded to the newest firmware on the app, drone, and RC. I'm so over it right now

There's about as many threads on the DJI forum on this topic as there are "can I fit 285s without a lift" on this forum....

Yes I am using the cable that came with the Mavic - micro usb to lightning for iphone 6s. I'm going to try again and plug in a usb cable to lightning on the bottom and see if that makes any difference.

A 6 or 6s I don't know. I've had this issue from the get-go though. It didn't occur often at first though, and sometimes I can fly for 25 minutes without a single disconnect. Other times like today, I'll get a disconnect 5 times in 3 minutes

I think you Spark users are fine. As far as I can see on all these threads, it's only the Mavic that's having this issue.

I thought you bought yours after I bought one? I don't think its hardware, it has to be software with how many people are having issues.

When I got my Mavic Pro last summer, I was flying it with my iPhone 6 Plus before I got the DJI goggles. I noticed the phone would get super hot and eventually lock up. I'd have to control it with the goggles and the controller. The battery on the phone would drain very fast, 100% down to 20% in 20 minutes. I had
d a message pop up one day saying that the phone's hardware was not sufficient enough and that I may experience control issues. I switched to an iPhone X and not a single problem. It might just be a hardware issue.

I have no fuckin clue though. It's really irritating the piss outta me. Do you use the micro USB to lightning to connect or do you use the USB to lightning to connect?
