What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

My obsession over these trucks has seriously turned into a running joke. I have a Spanish teacher from two years ago who yells 'LA TACOMA' at me when he passes by me in the hallways.

My truck has been in a ton of videos in that aforementioned film class over the year. People love it.

I bought a set of motor mounts as well. Looks like a whole nother day of work as well. I guess I'll attempt those whenever I attempt the UCA Bushings...

 

I started it a minute ago, started at 1100 for a minute then went down into the 700’s gradually within 5 minutes.

Yep. It idles higher at start up, fan clutch runs kinda loud to start as well since I switched from the orange to the green tow package one. Then it slowly goes down. Never really watched it for RPMs after riding around, l’ll try to remember to do that and report back.

 

It is raised. Set at the 2" setting. I only have about 1.5-2" lift in the rear.

 

Was your AC on?

 

Make sure you wear a good dust mask. Especially if you're using silica sand. That shit can get in your lungs and cause cancer like asbestos. Along with many other lung issues.

 

Does anyone have the part number for the barb-type differential breather? I'm going wheeling this Sunday and I never put a differential breather on my front diff after the conversion.
