Doesn't count if it already fell over. President Abraham Lincoln told me that.

I met a guy on the trail from the local Jeep club and he said he asked the rangers station for permission to cut the tree and they told him no. Something about not using power tools in that area. Wilderness and nfs have weird rules. Kind of like Sipsey you can’t clear the trails with a chainsaw you have to use hand tools. Kind of weird considering a vehicle is kind of a big power tool. Anyway someone will cut it it’s not like they are monitoring a fallen tree.

National Forest is one thing but they will F you up for being in the wilderness with anything powered. If you get caught with a vehicle in the wilderness you get a huge fine and you have to get it out without driving or towing it. Meaning dissemble and carry or pull with horses. :deadhorse:

That would suck! But yeah i understand that in wilderness areas but 600-2 is NF land right? So I'm not sure why they would not want you to cut an already fallen tree that is partially blocking a road.

I know of a large campsite that we will most likly have to use with many rigs. It down from 600-1 a bit but its big enough.

Has anyone picked a meeting time yet? I am coming from Macon, Ga. I have not been able to test my cb yet, but its a dual purpose handheld/battery power or plug in antenna/12v powered, I am not sure how it performs yet. Its a midland and had good reviews though.

If I don't leave to go camping Friday night, i might be able to make that work. If that wont work, would a Sunday afternoon work for you?

Meeting time has not been set, but I roughly planning for early Saturday morning. Not sure if we want to go north to south or south to north, once that part is figured out e can set a meeting spot.

@tweakit88 opinions on starting at the northern or southern end?
