I’m not planning to do John Bull either. Not trying to be a jerk and exclude people but don’t want others to get in over their heads and ruin it for the rest either.

Diff mod is the least of your worries. Don’t think there will be many water crossing. But do you have lockers and 35” tires. And are you prepared to get body damage on your new 3rd gen? If not, you’ll want to stick to one of the other trail runs.

Definitely better. I’ve been to almost all the standout breweries down in SD. Modern Times is probably the best one down there. There’s a lot of good ones down here but there’s a lot of better one side up here. Quantity != quality. All the really sought after beers in the trading world are all from north OC

Hey... I’ll leave the judgment up to you IPA lovers. I’m more of a Mexican lager type of guy anyway.

It’s all about the barrel aged stouts! Can’t ever go wrong with a nice crisp lager on a hot day though. Nice and refreshing

Not a huge barleywine fan myself. Never could get in to the style. I do have a Sucaba in the fridge though I’ll drink eventually

I'd look up pictures of John Bull to make sure. You most likely wont get body damage. The trail is mostly rock gardens. If you know how to drive through rocks, you'll be fine without skids. Alex is proof of that.

    https://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/1045-3n10-john-bull

Exactly. I'm really not trying to be a jerk about it and exclude people on this run at all. The Odessa loop at Toyota fest was fun but painfully long. People learned a lot who were on that run but I don't want to spend 10 hours on 4 miles of trail. If you are up to it and your truck is up to it please join. It will be a fun, fast and furious run. This trail shouldn't take more than 4 hours. The trail is only 4.4 miles long Ideally after John Bull you'll be able to go do another trail ride in the afternoon. That's my goal.

Also be forewarned: Mike, Danny and I are complete assholes. We will give you continuous shit all day - Relentlessly. However, when things get serious on the trail and you ask for a spot, help, recovery, winch line pulled, or fix your broken truck, we will be the first ones to help and the last one to pack up to make sure everyone makes it home and off the trail. Also if you need any beer on the trail, Danny is the guy to go to. He always has beer and is willing to share. This is just who we are.

I am going to pack my lunch and eat after we finish John Bull. From John Bull, I may run Holcomb Valley, 26 miles (fire road), over to Holcomb Creek (5.75 miles rated 6-8), and get back on the highway at Fawnskin. Or go hit Dishpan. I haven't done dishpan but looks awesome. any one who survives 4 hours on John Bull with me is welcome to join.

Also I want to do a night run on Holcomb Friday or Saturday night.
