Use an angle finder. No one is gonna be able to set your pinion for you by looking at a pic, well maybe someone could but I wouldn’t trust some dude sitting at his computer eating Cheetos to be that guy.

My bad. I must of misread it. I thought you were asking people for options on your pinion angle

    Newbie questions here:
I am trying to make sure I am prepared for my SUA conversion that i'll be doing in about a month. I am doing the DMZ bedcage, 16" Triple Bypass Kings, DTF SUA kit, and E30 deavers (similar to H70's).

I think the only remaining thing I need to pick up is shock mounts for the axle ( any benefits/cons to different locations? top, front or back?)

The question I have yet to figure out is how do I figure out the rear shackle location?
**The front I believe I have figured out by measuring front the eye of the spring to the center pin and what ever the added length is over stock is how much farther forward I need to mount the new hanger.

Is it absolutely necessary to box in the frame? Is there a template somewhere I can use to cut on the water jet?

Would this work as a means to locate the rear hanger? Tack the front in and compress the spring all the way to the frame to get the rear location?

Screw long travel. Apparently you can race the mint 400 with a OME lift kit !

    Has rear ball joints too

Thinking about jumping from the +2 kit on my truck to the Solo XLT kit since I'm doing 4 link in the rear

    Any thoughts?
    Suggestions?
    Input?

    4wd btw

I had the XLT kit on my old tacoma and it really blows the doors off other kits IMO. If you want to balance out your truck I would go that route.

I was a skeptic, but became a believer when I saw that he would re-weld his cage before every race.

I didn't know such humans existed on this planet.

I agree with this as that kit really does seem fitting for a linked rear...not that a standard 3.5 wouldn't suffice. Only thing to take into consideration is would you have any issues fitting on east coast/central trails where you are? I have some trails where my 3.5 kit gets pretty close, but I adopt the rule that if I cant fit then I got no reason to be there anyway.

Rider, what kit you got on yours now? Besides cost, would you have considered XLT again for your current rig?

I have the 3.5 TC race kit on my 4runner with aftermarket links w/ some custom bypasses and air bumps in the rear. I would love to have it on the 4runner but then the build would have gotten way out of control. It would have went something like XLT kit + wicked creations cantilever kit + currie rear end + supercharger = more money than I would want to drain from my savings. So really the only thing from having me get the kit again is cost.

Ha when you put it like that, yea that is a pretty slippery slope. Got any pics of the runner? That thing sounds mean...my buddy almost got the tc race kit, but I convinced to try out burg since few have that kit on a runner. That said, I love my 3.5 race kit.

For a while, I thought it was hype until I followed a few threads. They just keep setting the bar lower.

I don't really have an interest in mud trails (usually the narrow trails)
And I don't have any dreams of fitting a Tacoma down a ATV trail so I don't imagine it will be a super huge problem for trails

But yes back roads would become sketchy

But I imagine with a truck built like this
If I have to eat a little grass ditch here and there it shouldn't be too bad

    And
I'm thinking of moving to Texas next year
