    Video of Montino Wash... it might be a little on the extreme side... There might be some bypasses that get around some of the larger obstacles, like that door dinger rock. the other factor will be the size of the group that goes out on this one. If it is a small group, it might work.

    Yeah, that's why I qualified it with start at a decent time, everyone being properly prepared and not fucking around too much on the trails. Outside of someone breaking something, there isn't any reason it can't be done. It's not like there would be people on bald AT tires, people trying to rock bounce up waterfalls and breaking CVs or overlanders that need to winch up every fucking ledge.

    I've heard John bull is harder west to east. :notsure:

    Cool. I have you three down on my list to contact when i plan it out. we are still months away from September. plenty of time to figure it all out. I'll pick some weekends and run options by the group.

    Any one else who wants to go out and pre-run let me know.

    did you have a bad experience? lol this is why the John bull is so limited. Also the reason why I had the idea to run a short trail with some people who want to start climbing rocks see if we can get more people out there to start abusing their trucks!!!

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Sliders... steel protection rails bolted or welded into the frame. Look a lot like running boards but usually angled up next to the rocker panel to protect from rocks and boulders damaging the rocker panel.

    Motino is arguably harder than John Bull for IFS, even the easy lines.

    Steve punctured his gas tank, me and Alex broke one of his CVs, I broke a tail light, fj bruiser got stuck half a dozen times, also had to winch Alex a couple times.

    That would be fun. I think Holcomb would be a good one to do a night run on Friday.

    Am I getting a little too aggressive trying to do to John Bull in the morning and then take a group out in the afternoon over to Motino wash? Would it be better to do Dishpan and Holcomb first and then take the second group out to Motino?

    Motino is a long trip by itself, until you've been out there you won't understand how far in the middle of nowhere it is. Going off a map it doesn't look like it would take long to get there, but it does.

    Not really, it's just not a trail to take lightly, it's hard and it's a PIA if someone has a serious breakdown, it's a long trip to and from town for parts.
