2018 Utility Package SR with 4.2" Multi Information Display?

So I thought these utility package SRs, per the 2018 brochure, do NOT come with the Multi Information Display.. However, this truck clearly has it: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/728788888/overview/...

It also lists Cruise Control in the feature set?

Is this some kind of mutant truck?

 

I bought the exact truck last week

SR has the display albeit not as fancy as my pro

Also has collision avoidance
Radar cruise control
Lane departure

Paid 22,200


But have to use key in door to get in

Did you know it was abnormal when you bought it? Did the dealer mention why it came that way? Some kind of weird special order that fell through or sumtin' ?

I went to 8 dealers... And All 2018 SR hAs all those options and that exact display



I couldn’t believe adaptive cruise and coffee cup on display to keep me awake on a 22000 beater truck .... but color me amazed

 

Huh. Good to know the 2018 brochure's feature matrix can be relied upon </sarcasm>

 

Toyota/lexus brochures haven’t been accurate since 1996. I know, as I used to “proofread” them ....

Sr now has auto high beam headlights too

 

Nice... I've been obsessing over the basic mod threads here for a few weeks: cruise control stalk (sounds like i wont need that one), fog lights, adding keyless entry, tow hitch and 4-pin wiring... Sad that i won't be able to do the homelink mirror... Safe to assume the 2018 sr still doesn't have the auto dimming mirror which provides the wiring for that?

About a week away. Just waiting on a refund of a cancelled GAP and Ford ESP and Extended warranty to clear. Not too many black 4 cylinder SRs in my area (puget sound)... Test drove the 4- and thr 6-cylinder once, felt acceptable either way, but going to do so again with a more critical eye.


It'll be my seattle area daily driver, will tow at most a rented uhaul trailer to help friends move, a flatbed trailer with a Sonex homebuilt aircraft on it, bed used mostly for tranaporting sporting gear around - recumbent bikes, SUPs, kayaks, etc.

I may want a v6 4x4 with push button start, but cost and a fun project is as important

 

Around here my most options for the SR was white/black. I wanted silver or red, found a few. Dealers were willing to discount more on silver. As much as I didn't want the color, saving money was the most important.

I added homelink to mine, super easy mod. Just run the wiring behind the headliner, down the a-pillar. Mini low profile add-a-fuse x2 (to ignition and hazard), done. Took me maybe 20 minutes.

 

Nice - the choice of SR looks more appealing with every day. I don't think I've seen a thread yet for SR Turn Signal Side Mirrors or reintroducing the two rear speakers that the Util Pkg removes (the suicide door interior panel would need changing, too)... You heard of that?

Can you elaborate on that? Visually they are the same; so I guess there are optional menu pages that are omitted?

Obviously it won't have the roll/pitch indicator.

 

Yup no roll/pitch, and doesn't have a lot of the menu page options, which the SR doesn't have
