You know, this isn't half bad of an idea. Start early with the new folks on Motino to give them a feel for it then keep going from trail to trail to see who is the last man standing? This way, I'm not pushing to get everyone through John bull because I have to lead another group. IF a group of the experience people don't want to wait around and want to cruise through, they can break off into second group in front and go at a pace they want to.

Any one opposed to this idea?

If the Dino is going to make an appearance I'm sure we can have the camp Host look the other way.

Lets think about this. We are going to have a good group of us who all are on 35's and double locked.... I have a hard on for doing a "last man standing" trail run... Motino, Gold Mountain, john bull, holcomb, dishpan (or Run it west to east back to camp) take all of us guys on 35's and see how many trails we can do on Saturday....

Maybe Friday would be the beginners run? or Sunday morning?

My suggestion is let the big boys go play. There are enough in the group coming that have decent experience for the 33's group. Let them lead the new guys to get their feet wet on a trail. As I am sure it would be nice to learn from you guys.... it wouldn't be right to obligate you to teach.
Plus it would be hard to do on Friday with everyone getting there and Sunday breaking down camp and at least 2 hours home for most of us.

I keep forgetting gold mountain. Gold mountain and heartbreak ridge are the only "easy" rock crawling trails in those mountains and calling heartbreak ridge a rock crawling trail is a bit of a stretch. Gold mountain would definitely be the go-to for beginner 4LO Rocky stuff.

I would not take anyone with less than 35s on Motino Wash. If they don't have any experience I wouldn't take them without them being double locked(though people in that situation are uncommon). Armor..... or no fucks given about body damage is also a requirement.
