I really see two sides of this, with it being more like this-

If you know, whole heartily what you want to do with your college career and life, the first two years are indeed a waste and I was bored AF my first two years. It was extremely interesting though, learning a bunch of unnecessary shit that I now don’t remember. Lol.

But if you don’t have a clue, taking a bunch of random courses will help you push you in the direction you want to go by giving you a bunch of ideas, and really giving you a broad spectrum of career ideas. This is also why people end up with basket weaving degrees and bitch about the college unemployment rate. just my opinion

Yep, I agree with this... I will admit I spent started college in 2008 and finished in 2014. My first two years were a complete damn waste as I started for nursing and then changed and ended up getting two associates for computer stuff, then went to a university in 2012 for computer science and luckily was able to change quick enough and ended up getting a Bachelor in Criminal Justice...

Guess what I do for a living...

Work at a hospital in IT because that is where I can make money, I love my coworkers, and the place I work for is nice.

If I could repeat everything over, I have no idea what I would have done different. I like where I am now. I did get lucky and did not leave college with a lot of debt except for one 5k loan that is in its last $1,500... everything else was paid for with grants and scholarships thankfully, oh and I worked full time all through my time in college so I left college with actual experience in both healthcare and IT...

The people that go to college, get 50k into debt from loans and then leave college with a degree and zero work experience and then bitch about the unemployment rate because people told them that is the way you have to do it... sometimes that is not the way you have to do it. Hell, if you leave high school and have no idea what you want to do, I would say don't dive right into a degree you may not want to do, be part time in school, get into the workforce and get experience, or hell, travel and experience things if you can.

Because when you go apply for that job after college with your new degree and that entry level position needs 3 years of experience and their are 10 other candidates all fresh from college but you are the only one that actually worked while in college or maybe started college a little later and have that 3 years of experience... wonder who is going to stay unemployed?

My whole rant on this is done though, it is Friday and the weekend is almost here and I got some truck shit to do boys!

Is adding one layer of gloss clear coat to plasti dip going to negate the matte finish? Looking for semi lasting results.

    Clear coat recommendations?

What are you painting? I plastidipped my emblems almost 2 years ago and they're still holding up. Also plastidipped the Supra's wheels about 4 years ago and they're still good too. Prep your parts well and spray 4-5 coats. That should last quite awhile.

IIRC, somebody somewhere was saying a thin top coat doesn’t make much of a difference. I couldn’t find the thread here or on another forum

I couldn’t find a matte clear coat, so I opted out. I’m just ready to get rid of the chrome until I get get parts replaced. Thanks!

They definitely make Clear Matte PD (Item # 11209). Get it online or try Pep boys. Most locations carry a pretty wide selection of Plastidip.

I've honestly never used plasti dip one time lol. I just paint stuff and I think it works better.

    Hope that helped! :anonymous:

Wish I could come up to DFW for a meet one of these days. Sure I like wheeling with y'all, but it'd be nice to shoot the shit without breaking anything.
