Mine has been working fine. A full can usually squeezes into the holder just fine but I have a short pvc coated cable that I weave through the handle which prevents it from bouncing out and locks it into place so you can't just walk away with the can.

I broke the bungie on mine last weekend on the trail. We were stopped having a trail soda and I went to put the can in my Trasharoo and realized my gas can was missing. After a bunch of debate we decided I would go back down the hill climb we just came up and back track down the trail to find it. 50 yards down the hill there it was in the middle of the trail, still full of gas! Backing back up the hill was a trick though.

All this talk about the Jerry can mounts.... I just finished modding mine. I was tired of them clanking and banging around. They fit great now!

I have original metal Jerry Cans. Stamped in some foreign language so they fit a little differently. But I epoxied in some rubber, added a center brace, cut some here and there, made a latch and center hold down as well. Just need to mount it up and drill the hole for the lock.

Etching primer then coat it with this a couple times. Simple touch ups

 

Hey @ChadsPride I’m thinking about spray painting my bumper. How many cans of primer and black spray paint did you end up using to paint the whole thing? I ordered a rear standard bumper.

2 cans of Rustoluem 2/1 paint & primer
4 cans of Rustoleum semi gloss black

I removed it to paint mine myself, last time I do that

 

Going to hook it up to the cherry picker to get it mounted up.
