Same part number depending on bed length but the product has been revised to fit the 2016. You can view the schematic in post #84.

Curious, did anyone consider just getting the matt instead? It's way cheaper, avoids a lot of fit/install issues, and I'm wondering about the value of the covering the walls anyway...

I was wondering with a tonneau cover on the truck also how long the adhesive on the Velcro would stay stuck on the composite truck bed. Here in southeastern Illinois it gets hot -n- humid during the summer.

I have the Tacoma tri-fold cover as well. I was looking at the carpet mat as well but worried about the sour smell being closed up with the moisture in the heat of summer. The tri-fold does let a little water get it when washing or when it rains. Do you have any issues with fowl order?

Installed the Bedrug today. It looks great. Had some ripples above the left wheel well. I watched the installation video over and over (page 1 Jan 20). The first side install, started above the wheel well instead from the bulkhead. Took it off, redid. Let's see if it'll come apart. Completely blanked. Right side turned out better. Liked how it turned out. A real shaggin wagon.

I got just the mat as I didn't see the value in covering the walls. Previous truck just had a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting in the bed. The bedrug mat is basically the same as the carpet but with padding. I like it.

    my knees love my bedrug
and was one of my more worthy investments.

I've had mine installed since 2000 (day 2)
And if my bedrug is visualized currently in 2016
It still looks/functions as good as it did the day I bought it.

    Very durable product IMO

Sorry to dig this up however I had a BedRug installed in my 2017 DCLB on Monday.

There is a 1 inch sag of the BedRug at the top near the rail (front bulkhead) a few other spots where it seems the installer didn't take thier time to get this right, or the product doesnt fit right.

I also have a 1.5inch gap on the tailgate which is extremely annoying.

I've gone through this whole thread, and now, I'm pretty convinced I have a 2015 version installed in my truck by the Local Cap-it.

They seem quite ornery in terms of call backs so I need all the concrete evidence to prove they have installed the wrong product in my truck.

I will use post 84, and the picture you posted. Anything else you can recommend?
Double strip of loop on the top of the front bulkhead piece?

    Thanks in advance

I love my bed rug but I have been having Water issues under my cap lately and noticed that the bed rug has been trapping water and not allowing it to drain through the 3 small holes in the front of the bed on the ground.I contacted their customer support to see if they could offer any suggestions and all they could tell me is it doesn't trap water and it couldn't be.

That being said they were able to ship me some replacement velcro that came off the bed when I removed it to find my leak.:bananadance:IMG_4864.jpgIMG_4862.jpgIMG_4861.jpg

After reading a bunch of reviews, and watching the install video over and over again, I ordered a BedRug for my Tacoma even before I took delivery.

When I pulled it out of the box to let it flatten, I noticed some pine needles in one of the corners. "This new BedRug might have been used before", I thought, but returning it would have been a real hassles, and there wasn't any other damage, so I kept it.

During the install, things were looking a lot more like you describe, and less like the way it looked in the install video. I had gaps near the top of each side of the bed (sides seemed too short), it bunched up at the bulkhead, and didn't seem to want to fit like I thought it should around the wheel wells. Unfortunately, I had already cut holes for the tie-downs, or I would have returned it at that point. I should note that my tailgate area fit fine.

I suspect I was shipped a 2015 version. Probably one that another 2016+ Tacoma owner tried to install, thus the pine needles.

In the end, I did pretty much what you asked. Doubled up the Velcro on the bulkhead, and at the top of each side due to the gaps. It's holding up fine, it just doesn't look as nice as it should.

I would contact them about it.

    Just the basics
Joining this party even though I have a 2nd gen. Just ordered from Autoanything with a 20% off coupon. Still confused with the part number for the long bed. They didn't change the number for 2nd gen/3rd gen. I'm hoping to get the taller version at the front bulkhead.
