Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but don't think I did...

Have an opportunity to possibly get a FREE shed that is 9 1/2 feet wide by 16 1/2 feet long. :bananadance:

My inlaws' neighbor wants to get rid of it and get something bigger, so he asked my FIL if he wanted it, he didn't so he asked me, and I told him I would take it, just need to figure out a way to get it out of there and transported to my house.

Been thinking about possibly expanding my shed because of all of the kids outdoor toys and stuff, but this would be even better! That way I can keep all of my outdoor stuff in one, and all of the kids stuff on the other, along with other random crap we have in the garage that could be put in the shed.

So... working on that. Hopefully I can make it happen, for fairly cheap!

    :fingerscrossed:

Does anyone around my neck of the woods know of anyone that moves stuff like this for cheap/decent price??!!

I think at 9.5 ft wide you are getting into the realm of wide load special permitting..... aka $$$$$$$ what is the distance it needs to go?

I know it’s not preferable but can you break it down into sections and haul it with a smaller utility trailer?

I looked into moving a whole house one time. Two story 2000sqft built in 1790. Was gonna back it up 200 feet and put on new foundation to get away from street and abandon crumbled stone original foundation, they wanted $40,000 just for the lift.

At any rate get some friends together with a sawzall and break it down and just reassemble on the other side. Don’t forget to number the parts

DANG!!!!!! Sounds like your project was a major one! My buddy used a local towing company to get his, but they did it for him because he delivers for UPS, and at that time he was their delivery guy, so they did it as a "favor". He's going to talk to them and see if they would be able to do it for me, so we'll see what happens. If not, then I might go the route you suggested, or see what else I can figure out.

    Thanks for the input!

About 10 years ago, we were involved with a project in Oxford where a 1700's house was being moved off land where an "adult community" was to be built.
We had to drop several sections of utilities off the poles and lay cables in trenches with steel plates on top in order for the house to go a quarter mile down the road.
Lots of prep work and was interesting to see. We even made the news on channel 8,lol.

When I put a shed on my lot in Wethersfield I needed a permit. Klotter Farms provided me all the needed paperwork, town took it issued a permit. All I needed to to was layout the location on the plot map and maintain 5ft setbacks on the property lines. So I went 6ft on one side and 8 ft on the other. That way if I need to expand I still have 3ft to use and still maintain the set back guidelines.
As a side note, regardless of what size shed you get "it's going to be to small". Ha Ha

I want to put in a shed in my side yard but I have no room.

First I need to get the neighbor to get his fence 10ft back on his own property then I would really like to put my shed right on the line.

    How did he come in?
    Sneaky or a show?
Last 2 times out I saw them henned up.
Just came back from grocery shopping and I saw a Tom and two hens standing in the road at Fairfield U,lol.

Work next week, but another vacation the week after. I may try to sneak out for a late season hunt that week.
Gets real tough after the middle of the month.

I usually like to start off with a couple cuts into a 5 note yelp and he gobbled instantly at like 100 200 yards so I kept going with the cut yelp combo and he kept gobbling his head off. When I first spotted him he was strutting and continued to come in strutting, as soon as he saw the decoys he came strait to em. If I had let him keep coming I'm sure he would have been fighting the jar decoy but once there in the 20 yard range I start to lose my shit so I shot him then. So overall in my area there hammering hard and really making an effort to find new hens.

I now just breast them out. I tried a few times mucking with the legs and to me, it's not worth it.
I usually half the breasts and butterfly them and grill them.
Spice them to whatever you like.
Usually I just salt and pepper them.

You can make strips, grill them and put the strips in a big ass Caesar Salad.
