Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I’m having the same exact problems identically as I posted here earlier today.

 

Do you guys have his update instructions for the purple blurple dingle dongles? It has step by step. I was confised too until i received those from matt. If you dont i can maybe talk you through it

 

Maybe, this is the e-mail info I received from Mat on Tuesday:

“Hello
this dongle may need guardant registration,
check this verison instructions,

Run GRDTRU software and send me the first file that it creates,
you can use this link to download GrdTru https://cdn.shopify.com /s/files/1/0885/5830/files/Grd TRU_cfcac57a-74ef-4363-97be-e9 696b880d7d.exe?113829164294143 83043

run GrdTru with the purple usb stick plugged in (or if your kit came with the mini black usb, plug that in)

then click next on start a new session
you will see it generates a code, click the "save" button to save it and send us the text file that it generates”

 

Anybody here have the tune that lives in MS? Want to know what you think about it. I know most here love it and see's the benefit from the tune.

I've learned a valuable lesson today...don't speak i'll of the way this truck shifts or it's throttle response, lol. Tacoma World can be a vicious place to get help!

 

Ya thats it. I followed those and didnt have your issue. I feel you may be uploding his files he is emailing you incorrectly somehow

 

Thanks. I have done nothing wrong. Please do not blame me for fault for the specific instructions he sent me. There’s two of us with the same problems from the link Mat provided to us both. I just want to OV tune our Tacoma’s properly for what we have paid for. Hopefully someone may help us with these trival problems.

 

But then there's the hastle with warranty and getting the proper tuning and such. Because this tune won't work with a Magnuson since they have to make their own tune

 

@OVTune are you still working on getting your logging program working? I would love to start a little bit of custom tuning to see what potential this truck really has

Let me guess... they told you repeatedly it's your fault for not noticing on the test drive and that the truck is operating as designed. Trade it or stop bitching! Sound familiar?

I tried again this morning to sync up the blue dongle to my computer and download the link that Mat provided me with no luck at all. After checking the device manager again there are no drivers recognized by the purple Dongle Which it sounds like I need to get from the link that Mat provided. I sent an email of this information to Mat earlier today.

 

I didn't read all your posts, but did you install the Grddrivers? The messages says it can't find the drivers, may try install/reinstall them.
