If it was just missing a plug ,they would of put a new plug in it,not send it too a body shop.

I'll post the repair docs and pics as soon as I have them . The dealer is open today but the body shop is not. It's Abra auto body. Never had dealungs with them before.

    CarFax is a joke...

20/20 did a report on them several years ago. Dealers were selling flooded out vehicles from Hurricane Katrina with clean CarFax reports because CarFax only knows what gets reported to them by the insurance companies. Period.

You can't trust carfax. My sister rear ended her civic into the back of a suburban, I'm surprised insurance didn't total it. Front end was demolished but a body shop fixed it thru insurance and when we sold the civic I ran a carfax and it showed it never was involved in any accidents ever.

Way easier said than done. Because the dealer is making it right, then it would hard to do much, unless it’s repetitive, or dealer keeps the car for long periods of time in the next few months...each state has different laws.

    I have a Gashole
Ok, I'm in for the hole shot too.

OP question... if the truck hadn't been to a car wash, and you state it was never driven in rain, where was it exposed to water. Especially at the firewall.
How many miles are on the truck since you got it?
This doesn't make a ton of sense unless you drove thru some deep puddles at higher speeds to cause a huge splash.

There is no way in hell a large hole in the firewall is going to get through the Toyota factory. Why would a brand new truck have 112 miles on it? I'm thinking it was damaged by someone else and the dealer took it in and repaired it.

Why is that so surprising? 1888 miles is probably about a months worth of driving if only as a commuter back and forth to work with an average drive of 30 minutes each way. We can go for three months without any rain or if it does rain its very little and dries as soon as it hits the ground. Also, some states when in drought conditions have a no wash/limited wash rule. So, going a month without washing the truck or driving in rain is not too far fetched.
