Yep. Way easier. And nice in bad weather.

    And the cv's are stronger.

Interesting. I’ll keep this in mind if I get stuck. Neither me or my friend with the H1 have a winch.

It’s going to be an experience. I thought I should get a baseline performance test on the stock suspension and one after I install the new control arms, coil overs, rear leafs and shocks.

That’s how I had to get across the golden crack in MOAB since I’m open open. Didn’t use the parking brake but rode the brake pedal to try and keep power to all wheels. Nice little trick for sure.

FWIW my E rates tires were smoother than the D rated I previously had. I'd probably be sitting on two flats right now if I had thinner sidewalls.

Just go faster over the little stuff and you won't feel the bumps as much!

So for today’s attempt at fixing super high fuel trims. I’m thinking of getting a set of injectors from LCE. Higher flow than stock but brand new.

why? Your stock ecu has no idea how to work bigger injectors.

Do it right already and get the 7th injector and start tuning. Or get an FIC6 and then you can get bigger injectors and start tuning.

I want to give a shout out to @Speedytech7 for helping me remove and reboot my CV axles today! He offered up his garage, tools, time, and expertise to get the job done and he's a real stand-up guy and pleasant to work with. I learned a lot, and I'm glad I didn't have to try it on my own the first time having never done front end work before. Thank you Speedy!! Forgot to take any pics, but if you've worked on our trucks you already know what a messy job this is.

Sidenote: I'd like to say I'm pleased with the Toyota OEM boot kit from Camelback - $35 for a very well put together kit with new snap rings, two types of grease, new quality rubber boots, and properly sized CV clamps. Only nitpick is 1 of the 4 clamps was a different type that we didn't have the tool for, so we ended up using an aftermarket CV clamp kit for one side.

Glad I could lend a hand and a garage. I gotta say if you hadn't told me you had 325k on the clock I would have thought that truck was almost new, even my roommate is still talking about how clean your truck is. Thanks again for lunch too, those Cheese steaks are addicting haha :)

EDIT: it was really strange that Toyota included a completely different clamp for that last boot.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Foggy headlight lens = no more. Buffed and applied 3 coats of Meguire’s Keep Clear Headlight Coating:

My Ac recently went out while playing near the lake. Turns out the line had snapped. All the abuse is breaking the core support apart along with other things.
I tried welding it last night and the neighbor has an Ac charger. It didn't hold, too close to the end, has to grind too much weld to get the Ac line nut to thread.
So I went to the junk yard this morning and found a line from a 01. Its totally different and doesnt fit without being bent. Thats on and ready for charge. Also changed the other O rings in the bay while system was empty.
Bonus round! Grabbed a pair of 01 sun visors. I didnt have any and the pull out extensions are nice.

If your buying new pads and rotors the only thing left is calipers. Calipers are not that expensive. I did my complete tundra upgrade for around $300. @Speedytech7 Check out AJS auto parts on Grand Ave just NW of 7th ave /Van Buren/Grand Ave intersection. Cheapest prices in town.
