The pain gets less but doesn't go away. I hope it heals quickly. It was brutal for me at work. I'm an electrician.

Have you tried a 29er from the last two ish years. Nothing like the older wagon wheel bikes. I was going to recommend a Yeti sbc 4.5 or 5.5 depending on the travel you need. Love my SBC 5.5 btw. Coming from a Trek Remedy there is no way I would go back to 27.5.

I'm gonna try to get up there a few times this season. Haven't been there since I got myself in over my head on a hard tail several years ago.

I wound up ordering a ergon SMA3, heard some really good things about it so we will see how it goes. I'm hoping to have it tuesday at the latest which means i'll get at least 1 ride on it this week.

I'm also trying to find parts for my old 09 specialized pitch. I want to add a dropper post and 1x drive train to update it a little and to practice my mechanic skills. I'm just not sure how to tell which components will fit on the bike since I am still pretty new to this.

measure your old post or the ID or the seat tube there aren't that many different sizes. Or take it to the LBS and get some help. Most shops will be happy to teach you a little about your bike. Get the parts from them

I got my Ohlins front coil fork swapped out for a DVO Diamond. Absolutely love this fork so much more! Getting my gimbal and bike dialed in for the season today with a quick fun local loop. Temps were about 70 which was amazing.

How are you guys mounting your fork mount in the bed like this? I’d like to do the same, but can find a picture of what everyone is mounting them to.

I just use these thru axle adapters that are made to mount to a rack, then i made the aluminum mounting block to work with the bed rail...i havent looked but im sure they have to make something that would do the same thing

2nd Gen Tacomas come with the accessory rail at the front of the bed. Toyota decided to save a few pennies by not include that part in the 3rd gen Tacomas. You can buy or build the rail, I got one from toyotapartsdeal.com for about $33+ shipping, part number PT278-35100-BH
