    Same distance from the header on each side for best result. Anything you add to the exhaust will effect what each exhaust valve (sees) so place them even. Wherever you have the most room on both sides.

    I heard they sound like crap with dtlt. Only reason I haven’t. But I need to flow a little better. And I’m going to have to get some resonators in my exhaust. It’s too loud as it is.

    Get some 308 mig wire and a bottle of straight argon. I used c25 when I did mine and the weld puddle kinda ran like water

    Going MIG with stainless wire. Basically costs me nothing but some sweat in the garage. Planning on the AHP Alpha TIG. Pretty nicely featured machine for about $800. They’re out of stock until June 30 I think.

    @Roostfactor the only change I did to our previous work was chop the tail end off right before the muffler at a slight angle and flipped it around so it points up a little. This solved two things. Gave me about twice the clearance we had before on that cross member. Also aimed the muffler up a tad so the two rear hangers behind the muffler weren’t stretched as tight.

    This is looking from the passenger side in front of the rear tire. See how it sends the muffler up a little? 3 shitty welds seal up better than one, right? :anonymous:7FEC5BAA-3BF4-47B1-9EB7-1A51C28C9521.jpg

    In the first pic the weld on the right looks purdier! And that I believe was after more than a few beers.

    I'm getting grinding when going from 1st to 2nd Gear when I'm really giving it the beans. Any suggestions as to what might alleviate this? I have a B&M short shifter installed that I bought used. I didn't replace the bushing or anything? Do you think this is related to the shifter? Thank you in advance tacoma gurus.

    I know of a few guys that ended up selling their AHPs. I have never used one myself, but I am quite happy with my Vulcan Pro Tig 200

    Never heard of it 1st to 2nd. Mine grinds 4-5 every time over 1500 rpms. Maybe your clutch needs to be bled or need a new slave. Not disengaguge clutch fully.
    I have to try to get some videos of me wot shifting to show how much easier it shift.
