*THE RTT Owners Thread (With BS)*

The bars are supposed to run front to back. I just received my Tepui Autana and the holes in the base for the mounting rails are about 33" square. If you want the tent to deploy off the back then you mount the rails accordingly where they run front to back on the vehicle.

 

I can get a picture of the bottom of how my tent mounts on my rack, in about 1.6 hours when i get off work. Would give you a better idea

 

Appreciate all the responses. The guy who is going to build was asking questions and that's one thing I hadnt thought of yet. It sounds like as long as there are bars running vertical and horizontal up top, any RTT should be able to fit.

You the man! I'm sure manufacturers may differ a bit, but this is a good indication. Funny enough, FB notified me of 10% FSR tents.

I plan on getting a solar setup to keep the battery topped off as much as it can to extend my dry camping ability.

awesome setup, im looking to get the m49 or m55 but it seems it too long for my bed rack. Is there an overhang ? the dimensions are 80 by 55. how much of the tent sticks out from the back?

 

I have a long bed with the m49. I have about 8" of overhang.

I think the one he has is the m55.

Thanks, yes it does overhang as stated above.
