Free to a good home. I bought Total Chaos bed stiffness for my 3rd gen, not realizing they were too tall with my shell. No Beuno. If anybody wants them, they are welcome to them. Includes hardware. I'm in downtown Seattle.

Just got back from exploring some forest forest roads on the Oly peninsula. I noticed that my steering wheel had moved a little bit off center so I went to work adjusting the tie rods a bit. I noticed that the driver side inner boot collapses in a wierd way while the passenger side collapses evenly. It was never like this before. On the 2 hour drive back I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary other than the slightly crooked steering wheel. Do you guys think the rod or the rack is on the way out?

That looks more like a rack and pinion issue

Well crap. I probably messed something up when I replaced my steering rack bushings a few weekends ago. I'll be honest I wasn't very gentle with it while removing the OEM bushings.

I found some pictures of them a few months ago and the driver side is slightly compressed unevenly, but not like how it is today. This picture was taken in February before I pulled the rack to replace the bushings. I'm going to pull the boot tomorrow and take a look inside.

Pull the rubber boots off the inner tie rod and have someone turn the steering wheel, if fluid comes out then the rack is on the way out.

But as for the steering wheel mine always would go off Center. You might have just hit a pot hole or something hard and that can do it. Really common with IFS

Will do. What exactly shifts to make the steering wheel go off center? The roads were covered in pot holes and I did hit some of them hard on accident. Thanks for the info.

the cam bolts on the lower control arm (front bolt and rear bolt) along with the outer tie rods all work together for steering/alignment.

What if your boots are completely trashed, and it drinks 1qt/2wks of PS fluid to quiet down the supercharger?

    Asking for a friend.

Hmmm. Buy a defconbrix patch and the chance to win his truck for $100..... 1:600 odds of grand prize, or a handful of secondary prizes. :notsure:
