One more thing to mention, Comms.

When we get closer and you guys decide what you guys will be using ham/CB/walkies let me know and I’ll post.

Just Incase if an emergency we know how to reach your group and so we are not all on the same channels.

We can have a home channel and run channels. We’ll get into this more later.

Just have a conversation with your groups and make sure you are all on the same page.

I know for a fact we will be using ham set ups FYI we will pick a channel when we get closer I guess so we all are on separate channels

I know for a fact I am on ham and will not expect everyone to have one. If everyone in the group doesn't have one, I usually stop and walk the convoy to make sure everyone is doing ok... and if the next section has anything to worry about ahead. But it is a fire road so not much to worry about other than driver confidence.

We should choose a main channel for a designated person from each group to stay in touch with other groups and a trail channel that is for everyone in that group.

That’s a great idea on paper but once you are out there and the channel is being used or your not getting reception, it’s a different problem. We’ll get together and make plans when we get closer and you guys do your scout run.

Long list but if it’s always broke is it worth it. I mean it looks cool but if u are saying it’s always on a jack why even do it. I hope he has a second car
