My Dakars were never noisy that i remember. they're 6 years old now and rusty as hell, but still performing well.
I've loaded my truck up unbelievably heavy (chimney blocks) and never bottomed them out (close, but no touch).

I heard you could use 4 runner shocks in the back, since they're 2" longer. Cheap alternative....

 

I put some stock LTX on my truck a couple of weeks ago. Once they were on, I looked at the truck and thought WTF was I thinking????? and immediately switched them back to my 285s....

How is your MPG?

 

Mainly looks - gotta look good! Function only for off road...

My Taco is a 4 banger, so although I get 200KM less per tank than stock, It's still pretty good - I just don't think about it or care...

 

As soon as we decide to off road and start adding armour, etc..., MPG goes out the window. I spend over $400 a month on gas and it's killing me but I don't care. She looks good...

Dood, if you're going by there Sunday, can you eyeball the Goodyear 265/70/17's he has? Lemme know what the percentage is...I might pick those up.

 

Pretty serious washout on one of the trails we use regularly. I know this is not the 'correct' way to fix it, but its the only way when you have no fill. Wife and I attacked it with shovels and a rake for about an hour. Did not get near as much done as I wanted but meh. Better than it was.

It was so nice out today, working in the sun with no bugs was such a treat. We are going back out tomorrow to the mica mine to have sammiches on the tailgate , still snow on the trails in places so it should be an adventure.

 

Had a little tidy up / upgrade today.

Yes @tacoma16 I did paint it blue to match. Found this stuff was a pretty close match. The bolts was a mission that I found from Bolts Plus in Brampton.
Also upgraded my rusty ball to a stainless, that was on sale at Canadian Tire last week.
Took off the stock skid to wash out some mud from a few weeks back and for fun painted the license plate screws.
I'm happy for now

I wouldn't trust that tow hook for much of a pull if you're pretty stuck, and I certainly fucking hope you never use the tow ball as a place to pull a stuck truck from.

I'm biased they had shit prices for my lift
and CT Motorsport has beat all of their prices.
