Anyone found an LED fitment for the a/c panel on the 01-04 trucks?

I've tried... It takes a bulb that you can only get from Toyota do to the socket. A retro fit could probably be done, and I may attempt later down the road.

I hated the orange until I put blue LEDs in the dash and on the shifter nob. it was nice for awhile... then I put the old orange back in and dont wanna go back. I have a bag of Blue LED lights for the gauge lights and the auto shift nob

how about an alternative. you can wire up a simple set up led's to light up the back of your gauges. you can get power by using a tap splitter from + led from your fuse box. the Leds come out brighter and in more colors than the stock bulbs. check it out:

This is such an old thread, have you done the led change over yet?

I just put 4 white leds (superbrightleds.com) in my gauges the other day and they still dim. I used the wled-5 with 220 degree spread. BIG improvement over the standard amber, if only I could get rid of the amber in the center console...

Are there any dim or hot spots in your instrument cluster?
got a link to the site that shows the same ones your running?
got a picture of the light output?

I honestly never tackled the project, now one more bulb went out and I can no longer see the fuel gauge..

Did you have to make sure you inserted the bulbs in a specific way
(positive to positive, negative to negative) or did it matter?

I know most LED's require them to be one way or else they don't work..
What part of WI are ya in?

I'm from Milwaukee and the leds I used aren't polarized so it doesn't matter which way you put them in. Unless you're actively looking for a hotspot you won't notice any, or at least I don't.
