    I just left the clips in but was able to pry the fender liner off with a flathead screw driver. I did only a few clips, pulled the liner back, and hit it with a hammer outwards a few times. Then just put the liner back no problem. Took me all of 3 minutes with the tire already off.

    Since this thread got bumped back up...

    I followed @Crom 's advice and beat mine from the inside out and then reformed the wheel well liner with a heat gun. I'm running 285/75/17 (34's not the standard 33's) and so far so good with rubbing. I flexed the truck and turned lock to lock with my forklift and it looks like I am good. I expect to find spots that will require more attention after I stuff the tires wheeling but on the street and forklift I'm good. FWIW, I'm running about 2" over stock in the front with a CMC, SPC/LR UCA set to 2.5 caster, and I trimmed the bottom of the fenders and flares.

    If you're considering this, get the hammer out and beat it like a 14 year old who just found daddy's playboy; it will take about the same amount of time.

    Running 35s and i recently found out how bad pinch weld rubbing can be while off road.. so I agree with your statement. Don’t delay this if you want bigger tires. Will be beating this bitch tomorrow

    I enjoy the fact that my 255s took zero work to fit, but damn, those 285/75/17s are bad fucking ass!

    Okay, did mine long ago.... doesn’t matter if you beat them in or out, you’ll have clearance for 35s...

    Use the 3M urethane Body seam sealer, usually in a “sausage” gun config. ( for those of you who are in the auto body world ). Excellent stuff, handles just like house hold caulking, except you’ll need acetone to clean it off you or your tools ( compliant solvent. ). Hell, at 75 degrees F and relative humidity at 50% this is paintable or coatable within 30-45 mins.

    So far- no water intrusion whatsoever.

    We installed some SEMA wheels wrapped in (GY Duratrac) 265/70/17's. I have rubbing, I will be doing this while doing a little trimming. I also purchased the plastic welding kit they sell at Harbor Freight. Does anyone have experience with this kit? It was 15.99 plus tax.

    No, just make sure you don't penetrate through and make a hole. When I had beat my pinch weld, I sprayed it with rubberized undercoating to seal any hole I couldn't see. Since then I have cut and removed the pinch weld and welded back the fender to fit bigger tires.

    I used a 3lb sledge on mine. The lower you go the harder it gets. Don’t be afraid to beat that bitch into submission.
    I had to beat that shit with all my might, on both my 05 and 15. Unless you only hammered the upper part, I don’t know how you got away with a dead blow.
