    Thank you for the new set of shackles @JLee! I haven't checked on this thread in a while (TBH, I haven't driven my Tacoma in a while either :anonymous:) but was surprised to see a box of shiny new shackles show up. I appreciate the pro-active approach to resolving customer issues. :thumbsup:

    Holding your breath isn't a good idea. According to my records only porter707 shackles haven't shipped out. If you ordered shackles and haven't seen another tracking number send us your order number so we can figure it out.

    I can't leave anything well enough alone
    I'm having some interference issues with my Dakar EL096R. First is the bushings that come from Wheeler's - the OD of the flange on the bushing is too big to seat down in the shackle. Need to clearance the bushing. Not sure if OME bushings have this problem or not, but the original bamf shackle fit. Second is that the sleeve is about 0.060" too big to fit in the new shackle. Fit fine in the original bamf shackle. Third is that the shackle doesn't fit on the spring, second leaf hits it. I think I would have to take the springs apart and remove any spring material from the second spring that protrudes beyond the anti-friction pad and hope it clears. Else start grinding on the shackle too. First gen shackles fit.

    Not sure if I will use original shackle and grind it and the hanger so it swings freely and could be greased, or do the mods needed for second generation shackle to work correctly.

    I talked to Jerry already, he enlightened me on a few things that I had incorrectly assumed. I still need to send him some pictures and describe another issues I'm not sure about.
