I don't know about Red Grade, but the Bighorns as a whole have a bunch of snow on them still. I was up there, on Hwy 14, last Wednesday and on Granite Pass the snow was still over the top rail on the fences.

 

no surprise thats monte's expertise there. the guys explored so many back country trails out here...so many possible places to blow up ball joints and be many many many miles from help.

 

Time to hack up my bumper.

 

I put the new battery in my truck...fired right up! The starter doesent sounds like ass any more either lol. Guess it always sounded like shit cuz the old battery never gave it sufficient amps.

Old battery will be cleaned up, put in a box, and I’ll see how long I can make it last powering the stereo and lights on my boat

Im glad to be home too. Just got done unpacking the truck. Been in St louis almost a week. Did NOT miss driving in traffic.

Did miss all the kick ass food choices though. Humidity can suck a dick though.

Put on over 3000 miles on Igor. Go less than 10mpg avg on the way back..sucked. Poured rain on us last night too with huge thunder. Was cool to sleep in. Wasn't until morning we remembered we were in Tornado country..but all was well. State parks in South Dakota are swanky. Bath rooms were insanely clean and had showers!

This shit was all from the winter tarp flapping against the wearing bottom paint (getting redone soon). Some powder bar keepers friend on a sponge and it all came right off!

 

44 deg and raining all weekend... F'in spring. We kicked the pellet stove on tonight to chase the damp cold out of the house

That's true. I was still at 1000 for mine I think.

Plus the tires..yeah not a bad deal I guess.

 

It’s wet heavy snow on a seasonally long snow pack that hasn’t ever settled properly. So it’s still ripe to slide and pull a deep wet slab with it. Rain would have been better to force the snowpack to settle fully, but nope.
