Really high standards here. If it’s not fixed right then it’s not fixed. I liked the attitude & I don’t hear any whining & crying about maintaining that standard. The hours can be a challenge but you’re well compensated & appreciated.

 

Have two of these in the truck.
Great seats. Not that I would know....
But I haven't heard any complaints from Thing1 or Thing2.

 

Think I had a wooden Coke box & maybe a pillow on Sunday’s so clothes wouldn’t snag.

 

Yeahhhh, about that.

Had a problem that took a bunch of tools down about an hour ago, the on-call engineer knew just as much about those systems as I do (almost zero). So I winged it...

Fuckin' eh, too - they're all back up now! Now, how LONG they'll stay up, I dunno...

 

Busted watch is correct two times a day, amiright???

 

The last two places that I worked liked to say that... but...at the end of the day production pays the bills and machines had to run.
Uniroyal didn’t care if employee safety was compromised. I would not go there! Made me a little unpopular but I knew were the bodies were buried

 

You know it’s a cryin’ Shame that some of the older facilities built to such high standards go to hell in a hand basket once the bottom line is the only thing that matters. Duct tape & bailin’ wire are not my idea of a quality repair. As for safety, if I wasn’t serious about it I’d be long gone long ago.

 

Yeah it seems super nice and very heavy duty. I was surprised when I picked it up with how much it weighed

 

I'm still fairly new at this, and when I hit something out of my depth it's up to me to get a hold of someone who can fix it right.

The weekends can be a mess when it comes to that. The on-call engineer wasn't familiar with the software I was working with, and his manager wasn't responding to to her pager so we just had to do our best to get things running again.

Everyone involved has been notified. So here I stand like Custer, waiting for the cavalry to show up.

Well, I made it to work. It was tough after this long, drawn out winter. But here I am.

They say 80% of being successful is just showing up.

I think I might be only good for that last 20% in productivity tonight, though.

 

night 3/4 after almost 2 weeks of days. I'm convinced this crap will be the death of me, or at least cause me to lose my mind. Been debating the last few nights on returning my truck back to stock suspension
