I also saw a post where you can fit certain size RTTs on bedrails UNDER the ST. Just makes deploying it a bit more involved.

Before buying, my rack is roughly 48x48 on my bed... there is a lot of overhang with the larger models, especially once open. Is all the weight placed on the ladder for the tent? If not, how is the tent supporting the weight when people are in there for the areas not supported by the rack? I'm just wondering how to safely fit one of the bigger tents on what I've got.

Once mounted, the weight of the tent rests on your rack itself. The ladder is only meant for the weight of a person. I'm sure one at a time as well. There are plenty of videos on mounting these to get a good idea.

Wow. I’m gonna need a rack first that can handle the 5 person weight. Any suggestions?

I see that you live in Florida too. Maybe I can pick up both the rack and the rtt

Is your rack compatible with a trifold tonneau cover

I would consider that in a case by case basis. PM for that one.

Hard to say. This is a new product and I don’t have a tonneau cover to test that.

The only issue with this is the height required to fold up the cover. You'll end up with the bottom of the rack being a little higher than the top of the cab. I looked real hard at this when building mine, and decided it was easier to just take the cover off when i wanted the tent.

Alternatively, @Finch1018 has a roll up cover and made that work with a rack install, it's a very slick set up.

It’s not looking good for us to meet the minimum of 10 tents of any model posted in OP.

@doclocco do you ever get 64 inch models (or around that range queen size). Those 55 inch models are not for 3 people and i love how all the rtt sellers say that, who wants to sleep on a bed that is full size with 3 people lol

I don’t think there was a 64” model, but I still don’t have 10 people ordering them either. I get what you’re saying though.
