Little of this and a little of that
Haven't heard anyone complain about it. I just did it right before I posted the picture so I really can't answer that. I'm sure someone that's had it done for a while could answer this.

Mine is cut even shorter, I have never noticed any fumes in the cab, even with windows down.

I was a little productive this weekend. Installed the hood channel CB antenna mount.

Installed the Relentless Fab pod light mounts and some lights.

Installed the CB into the center console. Still need to connect to power and tune it, power might do tonight after it cools down a little bit.

No worries! I figured they'd still be good off your year but thought that I'd ask. The boots off my 5100's tore during the winter and I wish that I'd have kept the plastic boots off my oem shocks.

I made a cooling plate for the grill a while back, finally made a final version last week. And today i made a plate that goes to the core support, under the factory piece. I don’t know if it has any benefits yet, but I thought some of you guys would appreciate it.

AWESOME! I'm on it!!! I thought while moving slow on rocks and trail, the odor would come in through the rolled down windows.

Sit down. Grab a beer. Let me tell you a story.

The Year of our Lord 2018. This Sunday last. I decided to install my Alcan leaf springs. Alcan is based out of Grand Junction, CO and only do custom jobs. Build jobs. Not the other kind.

    https://www.alcanspring.com/

You see, my friend, when one off-roads relatively frequently, he she or it puts a lot of stress on the parts. This made taking the bolts off almost impossible. I may have given myself a hernia. That's not me being funny or clever. I'll check with my doc this week.

As I pulled everything apart, I kept finding that I was lacking in tools. I must have made 6 trips to Home Depot that day. I have two torque wrenches now.

A job that should have taken 2-3 hours took me almost 8. For just the left side. That's right. But I did it! Well, with some help.

After that, I drank a lot. Given that I had the coming Tuesday off, I thought it best to tackle the right side then.

The Year of our Lord 2018. This Tuesday last. Went to Toytec to pick up a u-bolt flip kit since the aftermarket bolts I had wouldn't fit.

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Ubolt-Flip-Kit-05-Tacoma_p_389.html

You see, my friend, when an exhaust is routed to the right side of a vehicle, the parts are exposed to much more heat than the left. It took an army to get the bolts off.

This job also should have taken 2-3 hours. It took me more than 6. But I did it! I also replaced the u-bolts on the left with the flip kit.

Something was wrong. The right didn't look the same as the left. I compared them...they were installed in different directions. I emailed Alcan and sure enough the left side was installed backwards. By this point I had aged 10 years, given myself cancer, and had 4th-degree sunburn so I called it a day.

The Year of our Lord 2018. Today. Took me 45 minutes to take off the left spring, flip it, and install it. With almost no help.

Next up: installing the Energy Suspension bumpstops. I will have to drill a hole in the strike plate...we'll see where that seemingly easy install goes...

No more rubbing when reversing at full lock! Got a cab mount chop done with the help of @Speed Freek . Got done in no time and can hardly notice it. Guess it means I can get bigger tires the next time they need replacing now! :D

Popped Ironiks cherry this weekend. After 10 years and 304,000 miles got its first engine bay wash. I was a little skeptical about doing this but had to try this new Adams Eco Cleaner https://adamspolishes.com/adam-s-all-purpose-cleaner.html. Since Ironiks engine bay has never been cleaned ever.... This is what the engine bay looks like after spraying the engine bay 2 times.... NO SCRUBBING!! Just spray and gently rinse with water. I do not have a before pic, but my engine bay was nasty.
1000 times better now. I'm not ashamed of showing my engine bay now......

I am really curious about your dual battery system. Is that a home brew or do you have a link?

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Rust removal with naval jelly. Trailer hitch, support and sub rear plastic step looked like shit. Removed rust, rinsed, dried, sanded and repainted black. Looks 100x better. If you've never looked under there, caution advised.

I ordered the dual battery kit from @BamaToy1997 a couple years ago. I do not believe he sales the upgrade kits any longer.
